Ne verujem ,da postoji neko ko bi mogao da napiše nešto novo o "Velikom".Mnoge priče su ispričane,puno redova napisano od strane što muzičkih eksperata, kritičara, novinara,ali sve se svodi na jedno neponovljiv, "Najveći"..."Kralj Bluesa"
Sećam se priče od pre mnogo godina...dva drugara potpuno različiti u mnogo čemu, počev od toga što je jedan od njih dvojice levoruk; .različitost u shvatanju životnih dešavanja, rešavanju odgovora šta i kako dalje... A opet, isti, povezani u nesebičnoj, nepodeljenoj ljubavi prema njegovoj muzici, osećanjima koja dolaze pravo iz srca, duše i obuzimaju, opijaju, prolaze kroz odbrambeni mehanizam (ako ga uopšte i ima u odbrani od bluesa).Tu smo isti, i siguran sam da je jedan od krivaca zaslužnih za moju opsednutost bluesom bio on "Veliki"...

Čitam mail od pre neki dan, jednog od te dvojice zaljubljenika (otišao je nekim svojim stazama sudbine, tamo negde preko bare, i radi nekakva čudesa po onoj elektronici ili čemu već ) i između ostalog piše "....moraš ovo da poslušaš, fenomenalno, ..možda najbolje do sada..." ..Hm.. pa naravno da ću poverovati, ali zar to ne govorimo jedan drugom za sve novo što je "Veliki" uradio...
Nešto mislim, koliko su samo sebični zaljubljenici u muziku koju on stvara, stalno hoće još , uvek žele nešto novo, novo a opet slično, svojstveno njemu, da se oseti da je to on. Da prija kao ledena voda kod ovih nesnosnih vrućina... kao kuvano toplo vino s karanfilićem kada se smrzneš ili kao dobro rashlađena prilična količina dobrog burbona,dok se opuštaš u kadi punoj tople vode, bez začina zeleniša, jer ćeš se opiti ionako od zvuka njegovog glasa i njegove Lucille. " Me & Lucille" kako je sam "Kralj"rekao.
Neko je čini mi se malo u šali, malo ozbiljno rekao da su sve njegove veze sa ženama propale iz razloga što je svaka od njegovih saputnica želela da zauzme mesto njegove Lucille..Tu su pogrešile.

B.B. raced outdoors to safety with everyone else, then realized that he left his beloved $30 acoustic guitar inside, so he rushed back inside the burning building to retrieve it, narrowly escaping death. When he later found out that the fight had been over a woman named Lucille, he decided to give the name to his guitar to remind him never to do a crazy thing like fight over a woman. Ever since, each one of B.B.'s trademark Gibson guitars has been called Lucille.

Album podseća i zvuči kao da je iz ~50-tih godina,obradom pesama (koje su ranije napisali ljudi a koji su imali veliki uticaj na ono što je kasnije stvarao) ali obojen njegovim "kraljevskim"zvukom i predivnim tonovima njegove Lucille ...
Album otvara pesma koja ( bar u meni ) izaziva zebnju, a podstaknuto blogom koji je postavio pape92, ali nadam se neće biti tako još dugo, dugo...Iako ima 83 godine, onim što nam je dao samo je pokazao koliko energije ima u njemu i koliko samo ta predivna Lucille može da nam da novih, svežih, neponovljivih, a opet setnih melanholičnih tonova koji opijaju, izbacuju iz ravnotežea koje samo blues može da pruži, blues koji nam daje Lucille
